About Me
The stage lights were hot, and I was standing in the wings, listening to the audience settle... programs folding, throats clearing... that low hum before the show starts. I remember thinking, this feels like home.
I grew up in acting. Both of my parents were working theater actors, and my grandfather, Dan Frazer (Captain McNeil on Kojak), was the kind of grandfather who came to my high school plays numerous times. Acting wasn’t some far-off dream... it was my daily life.
I started studying in New York around thirteen, briefly doing some stand-up at Gotham Comedy Club before realizing what I really loved was building a character over time.
I’ve had the joy of working with Austin Pendleton on Orson’s Shadow, being nominated for a Berkshire Theatre Critics Award for Now Circa Then, earning my MFA at Columbia, and bringing an original show to the Edinburgh Fringe with my classmates. I’ve appeared in Spoiler Alert and on FBI: Most Wanted, and I’ve gotten to play roles ranging from Mr. Darcy to Shakespearean schemers.
Sure, I was a shy kid. But acting became the place I could say the things I wouldn’t normally say out loud. What I love most about it is the ensemble... that feeling that we’re all a little less alone because we're in it together.
